Manifesto for a Networked Nation
Martha Lane Fox, the UK’s Digital Champion, launched her Manifesto for a Networked Nation at Number 10 Downing Street this month. Martha’s ambition is to get everyone of working age online by the end of this Parliament, in the hope that everyone who retires will have the skills to enjoy the benefits of the web.
The manifesto urges people and organisations in every sector and in every corner of the country to work together to inspire, encourage and support millions of new people to get online by the end of the Olympic year.
To help generate ideas to bring the Manifesto for a Networked Nation to life, the Race Online 2012 team hosted a ‘Big Get Together’ for some of their 580 partners on 15 July. A new film, containing some of the stories from the People’s Taskforce made its debut at this event.
